About Amy (Amelia)
Amy (Amelia) Williams brings passionate determination and a creative approach to guide sustainable practice change. Williams leads individuals and organizations to coalesce values and practices for mindful and inclusive outcomes that surpass status quo expectations. Throughout Williams's career as a designer, design professor and administrator, board member, and consultant, her passion for fairness, fueled by her lived global fashion experience empowered her advocacy for women and sustainability.
Williams is a designer and a leader, her creativity has been shared in studios, boutiques, factories, trade magazines, and classrooms across the world. Inspired by the beauty of the outdoors, Williams is determined to mindfully change status quo behaviors that have led to the man-made climate crisis. Using values-setting design practices to enable sustainability adoption, Williams’s workshops guide individuals and businesses in making the right decisions for a responsible world.
Williams earned her Doctorate of Organizational Change and Leadership from the Rossier School of Education, University of Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design/The New School of Social Research in Fashion Design. In addition, she holds global certifications in leadership, learning, design, technology, and sustainability.
Williams is dedicated to good agency, serving as a founding board chair for the Fashion Incubator of San Francisco, a founding board member of the REGENERATE Fashion global sustainability consultancy, as well as serving as an advisory board member to the Textile Exchange .
